Disaster Strikes Saints in Mozambique & Malawi AGAIN!!!
Cyclone Gazeni/Awo
Cyclone Gazeni/Awo struck Mozambique and Malawi on March 18th and like so many recent cyclones, it left a trail of death and destruction, that also impacted our brothers and sisters.
In Malawi, 43 church families lost their homes and all of their worldly possessions in Bangala Restoration Branch, Jazaland Restoration Branch, Machado Restoration Branch Nsakambewa Restoration Branch and John Restoration Branch. But worse than that, Presiding Elder Eugenio Chikamputeni of the Jazaland Restoration Branch perished and his wife was severely injured when their house collapsed on them.
In Mozambique, 46 church families lost their homes and all of their worldly possessions in Tsachirire Restoration Branch, Nhambira Restoration Branch, Chissomo Restoration Branch, Gurumba Bawe Restoration Branch and Mango Restoration Branch. Even more tragically, Sister Maria dos Anjos, age 35, Brother Frederico Vinte, age 17, Sister Ezerite Celso, age 16, and Pitala Domingos, the 5 year old son of Sister Lucia Albino all perished in the flood. The Tsachirire Restoration Branch church was also destroyed.
As you can see there is a great need for Disaster Relief, not only for emergency food and household supplies, but to help these poor saints rebuild their homes. Please send your donations to:
