Gathering Under the Covanent
Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will return unto me, ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me (3 Nephi 4:42-43).
The heart of the Lord our God is expressed in the words, “Come unto me.” This message was the center of the all Jesus Christ ministered to the survivors of the tempests and earthquakes in 3rd Nephi. When all looked bleak, God called saying, “My arm of mercy is extended towards you.”
The intercession of Christ is a gathering ministry. He gathers each of us to the Father and to each other under the banner of his name. As we approach the upcoming 2023 General Conference, our desire is to gather in Him to obtain all the blessings prepared for you.
In our baptismal covenant each of us agreed to abide by the terms of that covenant. Our Heavenly Father also pledged his allegiance to this covenant through the name of Jesus Christ. He sealed his pledge and testimony by the gift of the Holy Ghost. As a result, we are in a relationship which He will not violate and one we dare not abandon. This covenant may bring unmatched blessings or solemn consequences.
The theme of gathering under the covenant is the focus of the upcoming Conference. We plan to further explore our call and response of faithfulness to the God of Israel and confer a renewed dedication to our shared covenantal call.
Please mark your calendars now to attend the 2023 General Conference. A separate invite and registration information will be emailed in March, 2023.
