2025 General Conference

April 7 - 12, 2025
"REMEMBERING THE COVENANTS"

This year's conference has now concluded. Worship services were held earlier in the day so that Saints gathered in other nations could participate in real time. Evening activities included a hymn sing, sharing of testimonies by those traveling throughout the Americas, and a shared banquet. Friday was an evening of informal sharing, where we enjoyed time with Brothers Doug Smith and Jeremy Stephenson from the Conference of Restoration Elders. On Saturday morning, Brother Joel Loving was ordained an apostle and set apart in the Council of Restoration Apostles.

Several new resolutions were passed, which will be added to the Joint Conference Resolutions (JCRs) once reviewed by the Rules and Resolutions Review Committee. We anticipate they will be available online sometime between May 31 and June 15, 2025.

Reports from quorums, committees, departments and officers are posted online in the Conference Notebook (see Sections 7.1 - 7.4) as well as the Approved Minutes (see Sections 9.1 and 9.2). The Un-Approved Minutes from April 11 will be uploaded when available.

The 2025/2026 Officers and Committees are listed on the About Us page. The approved 2025/2026 annual budget is available now as well.

We experienced some technical challenges with our live stream channel during the conference. Recorded sessions will be uploaded when possible. Questions can be directed to Duane Newman (it@conferenceofbranches.org).  Our Wednesday and Friday night activities were held outside of the recording area and will not be available for viewing.

How to Access Conference Documents

All documents supporting activities for this conference are arranged on-line as found in the "conference notebooks". The link at the top of this page (Conference Notebook) provides on-line access to them as they become available. They are named with section numbers that match those listed in the Table of Contents, as found in the conference notebooks.

Depending on which Internet browser you are using (like Google Chrome, Edge, Mozilla, Safari, etc.) and your individual browser settings, you will either be able to preview the file by clicking on the link, or will be prompted to download it before viewing. You do not have to purchase anything to view the documents.

Documents will open either in a new web browser "tab" or the same tab (necessitating you click the "back" arrow to return to the previous view).

If questions, email us at "manager@conferenceofbranches.org".

Parliamentary Procedures

To better understand the meeting environment and how parliamentary procedures are used to guide our discussion and decision-making process, we invite you to join us for a 21 minute video on our Parliamentary Procedures, hosted by Ron Smith. View or download the companion handout here.

Fred L. Young (1922-2004), secretary of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (RLDS) for many years, adapted Robert’s Rules of Order for use in RLDS conferences in his book “Parliamentary Procedure in the Church.” The JCRB later adopted these as our official parliamentary procedure as a way to make sure everyone is heard in a fair, free and equitable way.
