Finding People and Places

Q1:

I am traveling, and would like to attend services near where I am located. How can I learn whether there is a branch, mission, or study group meeting nearby?

A1:

Info for Branch Pastors is available from the conference office. Many other Restoration Branches are listed on www.CenterPlace.org.

Q2:

I am a Restoration priesthood member who, I believe, lives in an area isolated from other members of the church. I am interested in finding other Saints with which to build a mission, as well as provide the ministry of my office to others in this area. Is there anyone in the Restoration who can assist me?

A2:

Yes. We suggest contacting one of the Seventy located nearest you. These are listed at www.RestorationSeventy.org or can be requested from the conference office.

Finding Things

Q1:

My family needs to develop a budget to help us in our stewardship. Does the Conference provide booklets or planning sheets to help in this process?
A1:

Not yet. If you would like to request they develop one for publication, contact the chairperson of the Books, Tracts and Periodicals Division.

Q2:

I need a copy of the Annual Tithing Statement. How can I get one?

A2:

Tithing statements for both children and adults are available from the conference office or may be downloaded from this website.

Conferences

Q1:

I am presiding over an event at the upcoming General Conference? Who do I talk to about a room reservation and equipment I need for this event?

A1:

Room reservations are handled by the Conference Manager. They should also be able to tell you whether equipment is provided by the Conference. For their name/phone/email information, see the pre-conference issue of The Saints’ Observer (look for “Key Contacts”), or visit the web pages related to the conference you are inquiring about.

Q2:

I cannot attend the upcoming General Conference. Are the business meetings recorded?

A2:

They are streamed live over the Internet (at the time they are taking place), but they are not recorded. Worship services and presentations are recorded when possible and are available on our website in the Audio/Visual Library.

Q3:

I cannot find the minutes from a specific conference. Can you help me?

A3:

Yes. Go to Conferences. Find the conference you are looking for, and select Minutes. They are listed by year and date, with the most recent date near the top. If you still cannot find them, contact the JCRB webmaster.

Q4:

I would like to help with an upcoming conference in the U.S. How can I find someone to talk to about this?

A4:

The Logistics Committee handles the planning for each conference held in the United States, including assigning persons to act in leadership roles.

Prior to each conference, they provide the editors of the conference newsletter and the JCRB webmaster with the names of key contacts, so conference contact info gets published. See Conferences, and select the relevant conference for a list of Key Contacts and how to contact them.
