With the exception of the Communications Committee, all committee members are elected by the General Conference, unless a member’s conference role (such as conference treasurer) necessitates their presence as a standing member of that committee. Changes in committee membership should be reported to the JCRB webmaster (Home/Contact Us).

Communication Committee

JCR #93 authorized the formation of a Communications Department, initially comprised of three divisions. Directors are appointed by the conference president, and may organize sub-divisions as needed. The Communications Department is managed by the Communications Committee, with the conference vice-president acting as chairperson. As the communication needs of the Conference grow, so also do the roles and membership of each division.

Credentials Committee

The purpose of this committee is to review applications from delegates and members wishing to participate in the conference. Members help the Recorder maintain membership records. The Conference Recorder serves as committee chair, with committee members elected to two-year terms.

Education Committee

This committee, to be chaired by an elder, was first authorized by JCR#57 to provide Sunday School materials for restoration branches. A resolution proposed to the 2010 General Conference (2010-8) brought awareness that this committee had not been adequately publicized. This same conference then elected additional members to help revise and develop curricula which could be offered to restoration branches as an option for helping educate youth and members in the doctrine of Christ’s church.

Finance Committee

The chairperson for this committee is the Conference Treasurer. This committee works with the bishopric, and helps oversee the conference budget.

Logistics Committee

The purpose of this committee is to coordinate the behind-the-scenes activates that provide facilities, information, publicity and other considerations needed to implement General and US national conferences. Committee members work to publicize conference details to branches and the public.

Missionary Funding Committee

The purpose of this committee is to oversee the use of funds for projects and trips approved by the Seventy, and includes a representative from the Bishopric, High Priests, Elders, and Seventy. The committee reviews trip reports and ensures full accountability for missionary-use finances.

Rules and Resolutions Review Committee

This committee was appointed by the 2009 General Conference to study the rules of the RLDS, and make recommendations to the General Conference. They conduct their review using the 1952 Rules of the RLDS.

Women's Committee

This committee was first authorized by the US National Conference; their purpose to provide ministry and growth opportunities to women members in the US. Committee members have also provided classes in Africa. The 2010 General Conference voted to recognize this as an international conference committee. To date, members have provided ministry primarily in the US, however it is anticipated they will work with women of all nations to help meet the needs of the international community of restoration women. Youth Activities Committee
Established in 2009 with JCR#96, this committee is responsible for planning and promoting events for conference youth, including camps and retreats, as well as youth activities connected with general and national conferences. Committee membership is staggered, with 50% of members elected annually to serve a two-year term.
