The Lord is moving and, we believe, the hastening time is over. There is no longer time to wait while "the souls of men are dying". The church is again coming out of the wilderness and is on the banks of the Jordan. Will we choose to continue the wandering, or are we ready to cross over, following Him whose name we have covenanted to take upon ourselves, even the Lord Jesus Christ our head? It is a time of choice, we must quickly prepare. Who will be ready to behold the salvation of our God?
In the 10th Chapter of Acts is given an account of two men having visions. Both visions were dependent on the other. If either of the two men had not responded, it is likely that this Chapter would not be in the Bible. Even though both men had to violate the "law" to be in obedience to what the Lord had shown them, they obeyed the direction of the Holy Spirit. That same Spirit is prompting us to be obedient to our vision of the Holy City, even if our present understanding of the dictates of said Spirit is not complete.
The counsel given in past years, remains true. "The signs of the times are being rapidly manifest as they point to the fulfillment of God's word in the latter days. The prophetic calling of the church is pressing more heavily upon us than ever before. We are living in the day when the Lord is still admonishing the whole church to repent, and remember the Book of Mormon and the commandments, not only to say but to do, and become the instrument in His hands to restore and gather the House of Israel. I believe this common vision is profoundly important for the whole church to consider and respond" (High Priest Marlin Guin). Let us humble ourselves and hearken to (hear and obey) this wise counsel.
The scattered saints are once again called to unite in faith and repentance, seeking the Will of God that we might fulfill as His church our sacred mission. Let us worship and confer in great charity, with our hearts tuned to our King, willing to be His hands and feet, as He directs the harvest for the last time.
